Disable Windows Genuine Advantage for MS Office

You might come across some clients that have VALID volume license keys for office, but Windows is still flagging the Office application as not genuine. This could happen if the user might have installed a version in the past that wasn’t licensed properly. Here’s a solution to remove the message. Again, this is only to be done if the VLK is VALID.

1. Run Registry Editor (RegEdit.exe)
2. Highlight and select “my computer” on the left
3. Press Ctrl-F to open search box, and search for OGAAddin.connect registry key
4. Press F3 until you see LoadBehavior in the right side
5. In the right pane, right click on Load Behavior and select Modify
6. Change the value data from 3 to 0
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each and every LoadBehavior found

Changes to the registry are at your OWN RISK.

In the Database Management window, right-click Properties on the mailbox store.
Click the Client Settings tab, click Browse, and then click the appropriate offline address book.
Click OK two times.

Method 2
Use this method to resolve this problem when you view Properties in the Offline address list setting in Exchange System Manager.

Exchange 2003
In Exchange System Manager, click Properties for the mailbox store, and then verify that the offline address list is populated with a valid offline address list object in Offline address list on the General tab.
