I have an aircard. Why not use it to feed my home network or LAN? Makes perfect sense to me! Most of the post I found on this topic refer to setting up Windows Internet Connection Sharing or ICS.
I thought, “C’mon there has to be a product out there”…and sure enough, there was. Actually, more than one.
“EVDO Router” is the search term your looking for. Type it in and you will find some great products to solve your needs.
After all, who needs a landline anymore. To get DSL, you almost have to get a home phone line. There are some companies out there that don’t require a landline, but then your up to $100/month for internet access. Getting a cable modem cost about the same as an aircard, but you simply can’t carry either with you.
Here’s the catch though, most wireless shops will cap your data transfer after some point. Give Zadro Solutions a shout to learn how to offer your employees this option for $60/month with no data transfer caps. With this laptop card option, you’re looking at speeds of over 3mb download and over 1.5mb upload. That’s better upload than most broadband providers!
